Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. ## Description As a Senior .NET Developer, you will support the modernization and continued enhancement of a critical Enterprise Risk platform used to monitor and manage market risk, securities exposure, cash flow positions, and other risk-sensitive business functions. This role will play a key part in helping the organization evolve its development practices, modernize its cloud strategy, and expand the adoption of AI-assisted software development across the engineering organization. The platform is built primarily using .NET, Python, SQL Server, Angular, and microservices architecture. A significant portion of the role will focus on supporting the migration of data and application functionality from SQL Server-based environments into cloud-based solutions while helping drive the team's transition away from its current Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) environment. Initially, approximately 80% of the role will focus on core software engineering responsibilities including application development, API development, cloud modernization efforts, SQL Server optimization, and production support. The remaining 20% will focus on leveraging AI-enabled development tools and helping improve engineering productivity through AI-assisted coding, testing, documentation, and development workflows. Over time, the team expects AI-driven development activities to become a larger component of the role. This engineer will partner closely with Product Owners, Scrum Leadership, QA, architects, and both onsite and offshore development teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions while helping establish best practices, governance, and technical standards for future-state application development. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, .NET, Python, and SQL Server. Build and support scalable APIs, integrations, and microservices that support critical risk-management functions. Contribute to cloud modernization initiatives, including data migration efforts and future-state cloud architecture. Participate in CI/CD processes and support the continuous improvement of development and deployment workflows. Utilize AI-assisted development tools to increase software quality, developer productivity, and delivery speed. Collaborate with architects and engineering leadership to implement development standards, governance frameworks, and technical best practices. Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and support ongoing platform enhancements. Work closely with onsite and offshore team members to deliver high-quality software solutions in an Agile environment. Evaluate and recommend opportunities to incorporate AI-enabled development practices and automation into existing engineering workflows.
