## About the Role

The Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Mission Artificial Intelligence (AI) team is looking for a Manassas Software Production & Deployment Engineer to focus on software development, testing, and deployment for front and back end pieces of an MLOps system. The ideal candidate is passionate about a broad range of projects from software development to research & development to prototype development, culminating in deployment of our products to customers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in areas like: software engineering, DevOps, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Key responsibilities include, * An innovative mindset, capable of finding solutions to complex engineering challenges.

 * Commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and a dedication to delivering high-quality results., * Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM degree

 * Some experience with software development in production systems

 * Some experience with Linux and Python

 * Ability to obtain a security clearance and willing to work onsite with our team in Manassas, VA in our advanced development lab

 * Willing to travel to a tactical site to support system integration (up to 25% of your time)

Desired Skills

 * Some experience with software languages like Python, C++, Java, React

 * Some experience with database implementation

 * Some experience with kubernetes or containerization

 * Some experience with AI/ML: research, reference implementations, models, and dataset management

 * Strong problem solving mindset: ability to develop create solutions to difficult problems often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, ambiguous or incomplete data on a fast-paced schedule

 * Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment

## Description

* Software development and debugging of an MLOps system integrated into a tactical system both in the lab and at customer sites
 * Traveling to the tactical site to support system integration (up to 25% of the time)

 * This role is based on Manassas, VA and co-located with our high performance compute cluster, with telecommuting flexibility depending on program needs.
