In a Tesla, the touchscreens serve as your control center for the car's many systems and features - the UI System Integration team ensures this relationship remains fast and intuitive. Tight integration between the UI and vehicle components is required for the interfaces to influence real-world behavior; without it, safety, comfort, and performance are all compromised. In this role, you'll write the C++ software that bridges our user interfaces to the physical subsystems (HVAC, body controls, drive systems, charging, and more). Drawing on a first-principles understanding of mechatronics, you'll partner with designers & embedded developers to optimize ride quality, build robust safety mechanisms, and make interacting with your car a seamless, personalized experience. What You'll Do * Rapid prototyping of in-car customer experiences * Designing and specifying implementation requirements for new customer-facing features * Design, code, and debug UI interfaces and state machines * Design and implement robust interfaces to facilitate system-level vehicle behaviors * Work with a cross-functional team of Designers and Hardware, Software, and Integration Engineers
