The ability to effectively utilize a standard keyboard and mouse in working with the programs is required. ABOUT THE ROLE This position supports manufacturing operations by ensuring production equipment and tooling are maintained, adjusted, and operating efficiently. It combines mechanical troubleshooting, precision fitting, and collaboration with engineering to support both ongoing production and process improvement initiatives. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively about technical issues and potential improvements. This will be a hands-on support role in the day to day manufacturing environment. You will be asked to utilize skills in several fields of engineering but most specifically in Mechanical and Manufacturing engineering, so curiosity and problem solving will be critical for success. ## Description * Maintains and lubricates machine tools and equipment. * Observes, troubleshoots, and repairs operating equipment; then test operates the equipment to ensure proper correction of the malfunction. * Performs tooling changeovers and press start-ups of production equipment * Operates a hone and speed lathe to hand fit tooling to exact tolerances * Effectively communicate errors in drawings and suggestions for improvement of tooling, equipment, and processes. * Sizes, polishes, and assembles tooling sets. * Works with Engineering Department during R&D production runs and to implement improvements. * Other duties as directed by company management.
