## About the Role

* Previous commercial experience in IT support, networking, IT infrastructure, or a similar technical role
 * Practical experience troubleshooting technical issues and configuring IT equipment
 * Good understanding of basic networking principles, including IP addressing, routers, switches, or Wi-Fi
 * Some knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365 environments
 * Logical approach to fault-finding and problem-solving
 * Good communication skills and confidence dealing with customers
 * Willingness to learn new technologies and develop practical engineering skills
 * Full UK driving licence
 * Experience with VoIP telephone systems, network installations, firewalls, or cloud technologies is advantageous but not essential, We are an established IT and telecoms provider based in Wimborne, delivering solutions to business customers across Dorset and the surrounding areas. You will join our engineering team as a developing Field Engineer, working alongside experienced colleagues and building your practical skills in networking, VoIP, cloud technologies, customer installations, and infrastructure projects. The role combines customer-site work, typically three to four days per week, with one to two days in our Wimborne office preparing equipment, planning installations, and completing technical administration. We offer a salary of around £30,000 depending on experience, a company van for business use, training and support, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing to 25 days after two years), a pension scheme with a 3% employer contribution, and free parking. Previous field engineering experience is not required, but candidates should have a relevant technical foundation and commercial IT experience.

 * Prepare, test, and troubleshoot IT hardware and systems
 * Assist with installing and configuring business VoIP telephone systems
 * Support Microsoft 365 and cloud-based IT solutions
 * Visit customer sites to investigate and resolve technical issues
 * Assist with customer installations, IT upgrades, and infrastructure projects
 * Maintain accurate technical records and project documentation
 * Take on greater technical responsibility as skills and experience develop
