## About the Role

* Proven experience working as an Interaction Designer on complex digital services
 * Strong experience delivering UK public-sector services using GDS standards
 * Experience using the GOV.UK Design System, components and interaction patterns
 * Strong hands-on experience creating and iterating prototypes using Figma
 * Experience applying user-centred design based on evidenced user needs
 * Strong experience working with user research and using findings to improve designs
 * Understanding of WCAG 2.2 AA, accessibility and inclusive design
 * Experience designing coherent end-to-end user journeys across different devices and channels
 * Proven experience working within agile, multidisciplinary teams
 * Comfortable collaborating closely with developers and wider technical teams
 * Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to explain and challenge design decisions

Nice to have:

 * Experience as an Interaction Designer or comparable user-centred design role
 * Practical experience with the GOV.UK Prototype Kit
 * Experience prototyping using HTML/CSS
 * Previous experience working with Government departments or complex public-sector organisations
 * Experience supporting services through GDS or equivalent service assessments

## Description

Interaction Designer - GDS / GOV.UK

Up to £495 per day (Outside IR35)
Primarily remote
6 months

My client is an instantly recognisable consultancy who require an experienced Interaction Designer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering digital services within UK Government. You will design accessible, intuitive and user-centred services, turning complex processes and requirements into simple user journeys and interactions.

Key Requirements:
