## Description

+ Provide technical leadership and support in the delivery of fleet management and workshop services.
 + Assist management in the day-to-day operation of fleet maintenance, transport services and workshop facilities.
 + Ensure compliance with all statutory legislation relating to fleet operations, transport management and vehicle maintenance.
 + Supervise and support operational staff, providing guidance, training and performance management.
 + Manage the Council's vehicle maintenance programme, ensuring vehicles and plant are inspected, serviced and repaired in accordance with legal and operational requirements.
 + Monitor contractor and supplier performance, ensuring value for money and service quality.
 + Support procurement activities relating to vehicles, plant, fuel and fleet-related services.
 + Undertake regular depot audits, vehicle inspections and compliance checks.
 + Investigate and resolve fleet-related operational issues and implement service improvements.
 + Produce reports, management information and operational performance data for senior management.
