## About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer with strong Node.js expertise to join a growing engineering team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and cloud-native applications., * 5+ years of commercial software development experience.

 * Strong experience developing applications using Node.js.
 * Proficient in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
 * Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
 * Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures.
 * Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
 * Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
 * Experience with Docker and containerised environments.
 * Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
 * Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
 * Experience working within Agile delivery teams.

## Description

* Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
 * Develop and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
 * Build scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-native solutions.
 * Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
 * Participate in architecture discussions and technical design workshops.
 * Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
 * Conduct code reviews and champion engineering best practices.
 * Mentor junior and mid-level developers.
 * Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
 * Troubleshoot production issues and optimise system performance.
 * Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
