## Description

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join a fast-growing, AI-first fintech platform and help accelerate engineering execution. You'll be someone who thinks like an architect - designing scalable microservices, writing efficient SQL, and leveraging AI coding tools to ship production-grade code quickly. This is a high-impact role where every feature you build directly drives revenue in a highly regulated environment. You'll work closely with product owners to translate business requirements into engineering solutions, owning services end-to-end in a team of ~12 engineers.

What you will be doing

 * Designing and building scalable backend microservices - primarily in Go - that power a platform processing millions of daily communications and managing over $1B in debt
 * Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, designing database schemas, and ensuring data integrity in a compliance-critical environment
 * Using AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude) daily to generate, validate, and ship production-grade code - setting architectural context so AI outputs meet quality standards
 * Collaborating with product owners to identify gaps in requirements, flush out edge cases, and turn business needs into clear engineering specs
 * Building AI-enabled features and agent workflows (MCP servers, LLM integrations, RAG patterns) to augment platform capabilities
