## About the Role

* 15+ years of experience in a professional environment
 * 6+ years of experience designing, developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining databases, software applications, and data workflows
 * Experience leading technical teams or database and application development efforts
 * Experience in Python, R, or SQL, including database querying, program troubleshooting, and workflow automation
 * Experience developing metrics, reporting, or decision-support products, documenting technical work, and training end users
 * Knowledge of SharePoint and Power Apps
 * Knowledge of Naval Aviation maintenance and supply processes and related data systems, including NAMP, P-485, OOMA, DECKPLATE, AMSRR, RSUPPLY, AFAST, ACES, TFMMS, SHARP, MSHARP, PSILS, and ASM
 * Ability to independently support high-visibility or mission-critical work and lead or oversee technical staff
 * Secret clearance
 * Associate's degree and 4+ years of experience with data engineering, Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience with data engineering, or 6+ years of experience with data engineering in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

 * Experience supporting Naval Aviation readiness, maintenance, supply, or enterprise analytics initiatives
 * Experience developing data pipelines, ETL processes, automated reporting, or analytics products using Python, SQL, PySpark, or Databricks
 * Experience with Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, Power Apps, Excel, Access, or VBA

As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you'll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You'll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.

Here, you'll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You'll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients.
