## About the Role

* 7+ years of backend development experience, with strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript. * In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and backend service management. * Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar. * Strong understanding of API development and management, including authentication, rate limiting, and best practices for performance. * Solid understanding of software design principles, backend scalability, and application security. * Experience supporting front-end applications with data-rich, API-driven backends-especially those involving geospatial data or visualization. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across disciplines and in distributed teams. * Experience with spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS), geospatial APIs, or working in a GIS or mapping-heavy environment. * Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
 * Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven systems. Experience working in or with broadband or geospatial industries.

## Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join the Geospatial Group of a leading telecom company. This fully remote position will support a data-intensive, map-based front-end application by designing and maintaining high-performance backend services, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines. You'll work closely with front-end engineers, data engineers, and DevOps to ensure the backend infrastructure is scalable, secure, and responsive to the needs of telecom-focused geospatial applications. This role is ideal for an experienced developer who enjoys working across infrastructure, APIs, and application services that drive interactive mapping and spatial data tools.
