## About the Role

Core Back-End Expertise: Strong background in back-end architecture, API design, and database management.

 - Quality & Observability: Solid experience with automated testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and application monitoring tools.
 - AI-Assisted Engineering: Proficiency in using modern AI coding assistants and LLMs to accelerate development workflows.
 - Context & Prompt Engineering: Ability to format technical context, construct precise prompts, and manage complex context windows for AI tools.

Your Profile

 - Experience: At least 5-8 years of hands-on experience in backend software engineering
 - Languages: Fluent in both French and English.

## Description

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in building and scaling LumApps' MicroApps platform.

In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable back-end features that power MicroApps-a core product pillar and key success driver for LumApps. You will help define core architectural choices, build high-performance cross-functional APIs, and integrate cutting-edge AI-assisted developer workflows to maximize engineering velocity and product extensibility at scale.

About the Team

You will join the Work & Automation tribe, at the heart of LumApps' strategy to build an AI-powered Employee Hub bringing together collaboration, communication, and frontline operations into a single extensible platform.

MicroApps are a crucial part of how we deliver extensibility across the full LumApps platform. The team's mission is to provide customers and partners with templated, end-to-end solutions for concrete business use cases. Within this team, your work will focus on:

 - Providing a unified UI surface (typically via widgets) and orchestrating complex backend interactions.
 - Connecting internal platform services with third-party APIs and AI Agents.
 - Combining MicroApps with Workflows, Forms, Tasks, Shifts, and other platform capabilities to deliver configurable, enterprise-grade solutions.

What will you do

 - Feature Engineering: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable back-end features.
 - Architecture Strategy: Participate in core architectural choices and define long-term, sustainable technical solutions.
 - Cross-Functional API Design: Build high-performance APIs in close collaboration with web and mobile front-end teams.
 - Quality Assurance: Contribute to the automated testing strategy, participate in code reviews, and drive continuous process improvements.
 - Observability & Monitoring: Track service health and performance via active monitoring to ensure high availability.
 - AI Workflow Integration: Enhance team velocity by integrating modern AI developer tools into everyday engineering practices (prototyping, refactoring, documentation).
 - Context Engineering: Structure codebase rules, technical documentation, and context files to maximize AI accuracy across testing, code generation, and API design.
