## About the Role

You should have practical experience in cloud engineering, with a strong understanding of secure cloud infrastructure, automation and platform operations. You'll bring a proactive approach to problem-solving, enjoy working collaboratively and be motivated to develop your expertise in modern cloud technologies.

 * Cloud Engineering & OCI: Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure, with knowledge or exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

 * Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Terraform and automation or scripting tools such as Bash or Python.

 * Linux & Kubernetes: Strong Linux administration skills and experience supporting containerised environments using Kubernetes.

 * Cloud Networking & Security: Understanding of cloud networking, IAM, firewalls, encryption and secure infrastructure practices.

 * Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Experience diagnosing infrastructure issues, monitoring cloud environments and improving platform reliability.

## Description

At CGI, we design and deliver secure, scalable cloud platforms that support critical programmes across Space, Defence and Intelligence. As a Cloud Engineer, you'll help build, automate and optimise resilient cloud infrastructure using technologies including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Kubernetes and Linux. You'll take ownership of technical challenges, develop innovative cloud solutions and collaborate with experienced teams to deliver secure, high-performing environments. Working on a critical programme in Belfast, you'll make a tangible impact while developing your cloud engineering expertise within a supportive, collaborative environment that encourages creativity and career growth., In this role, you will design, build and maintain secure cloud infrastructure supporting critical services and applications. You'll take ownership of cloud engineering activities, automate infrastructure deployment and enhance platform security, reliability and performance. Working alongside experienced engineering and security teams, you'll contribute innovative solutions and continuously improve CGI's secure cloud capabilities.

 * Design & Deliver: Build, configure and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

 * Automate & Innovate: Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and scripting tools to streamline cloud deployments.

 * Secure & Optimise: Implement cloud security controls, manage networking and access permissions, and optimise infrastructure performance.

 * Deploy & Maintain: Support Linux environments and containerised workloads using Kubernetes, ensuring platform resilience and availability.

 * Collaborate & Improve: Work with engineering and security teams to troubleshoot issues, enhance automation and continuously improve cloud services.
