## About the Role

* Several years of experience as a disciplinary manager of engineering teams, with the ambition and ability to lead several teams.
 * A solid engineering background and a genuine technical curiosity - you understand modern software development well enough to shape how your teams build software, including how they use AI.
 * Experience leading teams that build and run business-critical integration, platform or backend services (APIs, event-driven and batch integration), including operations, incidents and on-call.
 * Experience leading a team that serves other teams as its customers and the openness to take on teams in new business domains and learn them quickly.
 * A proven track record of hiring and developing engineers and Tech Leads
 * Handling performance issues, conflicts and difficult conversations.
 * Hands-on knowledge of AI-assisted software development and experience introducing it in teams: what works, where it fails and how to measure it.
 * Ideally, experience with cloud-native integration on Google Cloud, integrating SAP or other enterprise platforms, or customer and master data topics.
 * Business-fluent English; German is a plus.

## Description

* Build and lead our new Integration Platform team, connecting Müller's applications, SAP, eCommerce, customer and data systems, while taking on additional teams from other business domains as the group grows.
 * As the direct disciplinary manager, set clear goals, conduct regular employee and development discussions, and support people in both their management and expert career paths.
 * Ensure reliable platform operations in production through clear ownership, effective incident handling and on-call processes, with every integration backed by a defined owner and support model.
 * Establish effective collaboration with the teams using the platform, making the platform the natural choice instead of creating new point-to-point connections.
 * Together with the Integration Architect and Tech Leads, define a clear vision for how your teams build software and continuously improve their engineering practices.
 * Shape and execute an AI strategy for your teams, embedding AI-first and responsible ways of working into everyday engineering.
 * Foster a strong quality culture and use delivery and quality metrics to identify opportunities for improvement rather than to control teams.
