## About the Role

With advanced SQL knowledge and experience, you'll have a good understanding of Databricks Azure, or similar and will have previous experience implementing scalable data pipelines ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data integration processes.

To be successful in this role you'll also have the following skills and experience:

 * Experience working in a data platform and delivery function
 * Previous experience supporting the delivery of multiple complex projects simultaneously
 * Previous experience working within a technical delivery team to support non-technical users
 * Proven experience balancing multiple priorities
 * Experience working with SQL and Python to deliver solutions
 * Experience working with Azure Data Factory to develop pipelines
 * Experience and knowledge of code management solutions and CI/CD
 * Experience of identifying and mitigating project risks

You'll have excellent organisational and planning skills, able to manage conflicting demands and deliver results to deadlines. This will be matched by your communication and team building skills as you develop strong working relationships with the team and colleagues across the organisation.

## Description

We're recruiting for a Senior Data Engineer to join this growing team and play a key role in operating and continuously improving our Enterprise Data Intelligence Platform running on Microsoft Azure and Databricks.

Responsible for delivering scalable, trusted and governed data products, you'll enable data driven decision making and accelerate time to value partnering with data product owners, BI teams, business stakeholders and Enterprise Architecture teams to turn requirements into valuable outcomes.

As our Senior Data Engineer, you'll join a Data Applications team that supports and administers project delivery for one of the organisation's most valuable assets; the central supporter database.
