## About the Role

* Degree in engineering, computer science, control systems, mathematics, physics or a comparable field
 * Strong and recent hands-on experience in professional C software development for bare-metal systems
 * Sound understanding of low-level embedded software concepts, including memory management and hardware-related programming
 * Practical experience in machine-oriented software development, embedded Linux or real-time environments
 * Initial experience in software architecture tasks and in making technical design decisions
 * Good understanding of software design principles and the ability to derive solutions from requirements, runtime behavior and relevant edge cases
 * Experience with Python for test automation is an advantage
 * Ideally, knowledge of FPGA or VHDL
 * Strong analytical skills, a structured way of working and clear communication in interdisciplinary teams
 * Very good English skills; German skills are an advantage

## Description

* In this role, you will develop software for highly precise lithography systems and contribute to robust embedded control solutions in a demanding semiconductor environment
 * You will work closely with experienced experts in software, electronics and system development and help shape technical solutions from implementation to design decisions
 * Develop embedded control software for next-generation lithography systems - Implement software for bare-metal controllers with a strong focus on C programming
 * Contribute to embedded Linux-based software components where required
 * Support software architecture definition and translate requirements into sustainable technical solutions
 * Create and improve test infrastructure for software verification and validation
 * Analyze technical requirements, runtime behavior and edge cases to ensure reliable system performance
 * Work closely with an agile and highly specialized development team
