## About the Role

* Above 2 years related working experience on PCB board design.
 * Familiar with LSET, HSET, signal integrity test.
 * Experience in engineering design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD etc).
 * Knowledge of PCB manufacturing process is a plus.
 * Experience in creating and maintaining serialization scripting.
 * Strong interpersonal, technical, verbal, and written communication skills are a must.
 * Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.

Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Training required: On the job training as appropriate.

## Description

Summary/Objective: The Test Engineer is responsible for supporting Samtec HDR (High Data Rate) Cable Assembly Work Center for all Cable Electrical Testing processes.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:

 * Design Test Tooling assemblies for Electrical Test First Time Build of cable assemblies.
 * Review the design of printed circuit boards and fixtures for Electrical Test of First Time Build of HDR cable product and feedback findings to designer.
 * Create Process Documentation for Electrical Test processes.
 * Create and qualify Test Programs for Electrical Test.
 * Cooperate with SIG ATG to assemble, debug, qualify new Test Systems.
 * Support production floor for troubleshooting Low and High-Speed Test systems.
 * Perform failure analysis of Electrical Test failed product and determine root cause with support from Global Samtec teams.
 * Cooperate with global Samtec teams to maintain Samtec HDR product serialization system.
 * Part number creation and configuration in Samtec serialization and tracking software.
 * Cooperate with control engineer, process engineer, manufacturing engineer for transfer project & sustaining improvement project on Electrical Test side.
