## About the Role

* Must be pursuing a Bachelors or a Masters degree in Computer Science.
 * Undergraduate students must be rising seniors.
 * 0 years: Academic or project-based experience with Java or either C++, C#, Groovy, or Scala and willingness to learn Java is required.
 * Industry internship experience with Spring, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSP, Servlet, or SQL (Oracle or MySQL) is a plus.
 * A valid/clear driver's license is required.

Must be a U.S. person (i.e., U.S. citizen, non-U.S. citizen national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to ITAR work in section.

## Description

* Work with small teams to develop, test, and deploy Java web applications to support a variety of NASA/ESA space missions.
 * Department web applications support space missions by providing tools for planning mission activities, instrument telemetry data management, spaceflight operations tools, and space manufacturing support.
 * Local year-round undergraduate Senior or Graduate student position.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

 * Assist with the development and testing of new software functions in Java.
 * Work with a team to create and improve existing web applications with Spring, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and CSS.
 * Write SQL to work with MariaDB and other databases.
 * Collaborate with scientists and engineers to plan new features and review products in development.
