## About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our global Cloud Operations team, helping to design, secure, and support our AWS-based SaaS platform. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, driving best practice, and mentoring others., * Strong hands-on AWS experience in a production environment.

 * Experience supporting SaaS platforms and Cloud Operations environments.
 * Expertise with:
 + AWS Security Hub
 + AWS Config
 + AWS GuardDuty
 + AWS Organizations
 * Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or Terragrunt.
 * Solid understanding of cloud security, governance, and infrastructure best practices.
 * Experience designing and implementing cloud solutions from concept to delivery.
 * Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.

Nice to Have

 * Azure experience.
 * Exposure to Microsoft Entra ID and Purview.
 * Experience working within globally distributed teams.

## Description

* Designing, building, and improving AWS infrastructure supporting a SaaS environment.
 * Leading cloud security and governance initiatives using AWS native services.
 * Managing infrastructure through Terraform and/or Terragrunt.
 * Troubleshooting, triaging, and prioritising operational issues.
 * Contributing to architecture and solution design for new projects.
 * Researching and evaluating new technologies and recommending practical adoption.
 * Acting as a technical SME, mentoring engineers and sharing knowledge across the team.
 * Taking high-level requirements and turning them into scalable, supportable solutions., * Collaborate closely with another Senior Cloud Engineer based in the UK.
 * Work with colleagues across the UK and US, providing seamless operational coverage.
 * Enjoy significant autonomy with clear project objectives and direction.
 * Participate in an 8-week on-call rotation, supporting critical alerts outside business hours when required.
