 * Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, with a strong backend focus
 * Professional experience building and maintaining backend services and APIs in Python
 * Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
 * Experience writing automated tests and reviewing code
 * Comfortable working alongside AI tools; curious about how technology can make you better at your job

Nice to Have

 * Experience with Python frameworks and libraries such as Flask, Django or SQLAlchemy
 * Relevant AWS infrastructure experience, including Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
 * Experience with Postgres and Redis in production
 * Familiarity with React or React Native, enough to work effectively with front-end colleagues

## Description

We are looking for a proactive Software Engineer to strengthen the backend of the TimeKeeper platform. The role is Python-led, covering the services, APIs and data layer behind our web and mobile applications, and working closely with engineers across the stack., * Design, build and maintain backend services in Python (Flask) that power the TimeKeeper platform

 * Develop and improve APIs, data models and Postgres queries, with a focus on reliability and performance
 * Shape features based on customer and team feedback, and deliver them alongside the web and mobile teams
 * Write automated tests, investigate issues and fix bugs
 * Review pull requests and share knowledge with the wider team
 * Contribute to infrastructure and deployment work across AWS, Terraform and Redis
 * Prioritise and manage multiple tasks, delivering on time and picking up new topics as needed
 * Build strong working relationships and contribute positively to the team
