## About the Role

We're keen to speak with developers early in their careers who have a solid technical foundation and a genuine appetite to learn.
You'll ideally bring:

 * Some commercial software development experience, ideally around one to two years.
 * A working knowledge of Python and an understanding of backend development.
 * Exposure to Microsoft Azure or experience deploying applications in a cloud environment.
 * An understanding of APIs, databases and how applications work together.
 * A methodical approach to problem-solving and a willingness to tackle unfamiliar challenges.
 * Good communication skills and the confidence to share ideas, ask questions and work with others.

Just as importantly, we're looking for someone who takes an active interest in their own development.
Personal projects, self-directed learning and examples of things you've built outside work or university are all valuable.
You don't need an extensive portfolio, but being able to talk about something you've created, why you built it and how you approached the challenges will help you stand out.
You don't need to be an expert in every technology listed. Curiosity, initiative and the ability to learn are just as important as what you already know.
