## About the Role

* Abgeschlossenes technisches Studium (Bachelor oder Master in Elektrotechnik, Informatik, Embedded Systems oder vergleichbare Studienrichtung)
 * Erfahrung in der Entwicklung, Integration und dem Training von KI-Modellen, insbesondere im Bereich Objekterkennung (z. B. CNNs, YOLO, Transformer-basierte Ansätze)
 * Sichere Kenntnisse in Python sowie Erfahrung mit gängigen KI-Frameworks (z. B. TensorFlow, PyTorch)
 * Erfahrung in der Optimierung und dem Deployment von KI-Modellen für Embedded-Systeme (z. B. Quantisierung, Pruning, Edge-Inference)
 * Grundkenntnisse in FPGA-Technologien und/oder Embedded-Linux-Systemen sind von Vorteil (keine Expertenkenntnisse erforderlich)
 * Erfahrung in der Zusammenarbeit an Schnittstellen zwischen Hardware- und Softwareentwicklung sind von Vorteil
 * Technische Kenntnisse über Kamerasysteme und Bildsignalverarbeitung sind von Vorteil
 * Erfahrung im Umgang mit realen Datensätzen sowie Datenaufbereitung und -annotation
 * Erfahrung im Umfeld sicherheitskritischer Systeme, vorzugsweise in der Luftfahrt oder im Bereich militärischer Landfahrzeuge
 * Kenntnisse in funktionaler Sicherheit sind von Vorteil
 * Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse

## Description

* Integration von KI-Modellen zur Objekterkennung auf unseren Produkt-Plattformen (insbesondere FPGA- und Embedded-Linux-basierte Systeme)
 * Anpassung und Optimierung bestehender Standardmodelle für spezifische Anwendungsfälle (z. B. Fine-Tuning Performance, Transfer Learning)
 * Analyse, Auswahl und Bewertung geeigneter KI-Architekturen für performante Embedded-Anwendungen
 * Enge Zusammenarbeit mit und Schnittstellenfunktion zu FPGA-Entwickler*innen sowie Embedded-Software-Teams zur effizienten Systemintegration
 * Mitwirkung bei der Definition und Umsetzung von Entwicklungsprozessen für KI-basierte Kamerasysteme gemäß z.B. Aviation Standards (inkl. Dokumentation)
 * Arbeit in hochmotivierten Projektteams in der Technologieplattform-Entwicklung
