## About the Role

* Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
 * 5 years experience with software development, basic coding and compilation, software architecture/design, user requirements definition and software specification development.
 * 6+ years of recent, hands-on, MicroStrategy Platform experience, including: Advanced Analytics Reports, Visual Insight Dashboards and Report Services Document creation.
 * Fluent in SQL and able to read and write complex queries, views and stored procedures.
 * Experience in core Business Intelligence/ Data warehousing technology: RDBMS, Web, Client/ Server, OLAP, etc.
 * Experience with Big Data environments (Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra, etc.)
 * Experience working with capturing reporting on Current and Historical Data.
 * Experience working with Transformations, Complex reports, Report Services Documents (Dashboards), Rolling Metrics, Nested Metrics, Relationship Filters, VLDB Properties (multi-pass sql, hints, etc)
 * Strong technical and non-technical problem solving skills
 * Good communication skills required (verbal and written)
 * Familiarity with Agile development processes
 * Ability to communicate technical requirements to all levels of expertise.
 * Proficient in establishing and maintaining good working relationships.
 * Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
 * Proficient with integrating complex and/or existing systems.
 * Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. JavaScript, C, Python, etc.).
 * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
 * Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure)
 * Knowledge of database technologies (e.g. cloud, SQL, Oracle, Mongo DB, PostgreSQL, etc.)
 * Fundamental knowledge of software engineers best practices, agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines.
 * Knowledge of test-first practices including Test-Driven Development (TDD) for unit tests and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) for automated acceptance tests.
 * Strong experience with Deployment/Continuous Integration/ Continuous Testing/ Continuous Delivery processes and tools and have expertise in CI/CD tools and framework.
 * Knowledge of Code quality and promotion practices.

## Description

* This role is for a Senior MicroStrategy / Business Intelligence Engineer responsible for designing, building, and deploying high-performance internal reporting suites, dashboards, and BI applications. 6+ years of hands-on MicroStrategy experience, 5+ years of software development background, and strong expertise in complex SQL, data warehousing, and Big Data environments., * Collaborate with EIS stakeholders to develop functional requirements.
 * Design and build complex internal reporting suites using MicroStrategy platform tools.
 * Develop business intelligence applications for data analysis optimized for the best performance and scalability requirements using MicroStrategy.
 * Deliver high quality business intelligence solutions for our customers
 * Lead testing and deployment of the solution to ensure it meets business requirements.
 * Take ownership of cross team issues and delivery issues including pro-actively communicating across teams to coordinate activities.
 * Interact with customer to understand their feedback and provide assistance and training when and where necessary
