## About the Role

* Previous experience as a Design Engineer, Senior Engineer, Design Coordinator or similar engineering role.
 * Strong understanding of design management processes within construction or infrastructure environments.
 * Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.
 * Ability to review engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
 * Knowledge of BIM, digital engineering and document management processes.
 * Good understanding of CDM regulations and design risk management.
 * Experience working on infrastructure, civil engineering, transportation, energy, utilities, rail, tunnelling or nuclear projects.
 * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
 * Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
 * Working towards or holding a professional qualification such as ICE or IStructE would be advantageous.

## Description

Are you an experienced Design Engineer looking to play a key role in the delivery of major infrastructure and civil engineering projects?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected engineering contractor, taking responsibility for managing design activities, coordinating technical interfaces and ensuring engineering solutions are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements. Working closely with project, engineering and construction teams, youll be instrumental in driving design delivery from concept through to construction.

What Youll Be Doing

 * Managing design consultants and coordinating design deliverables to ensure compliance with programme and project requirements.
 * Acting as the technical lead for permanent works design packages.
 * Managing technical queries, RFIs and design-related communications across project teams.
 * Coordinating and recording design workshops, meetings and interface discussions.
 * Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical submissions to ensure quality and compliance.
 * Maintaining and updating design deliverable schedules and tracking progress against programme.
 * Working closely with construction, engineering and project delivery teams to resolve technical challenges.
 * Managing document control processes and ensuring accurate distribution of design information.
 * Supporting BIM and digital engineering requirements across permanent and temporary works.
 * Collaborating with suppliers, subcontractors and external stakeholders to ensure successful design integration.
 * Assisting with temporary works design coordination and ensuring relevant procedures are followed.
 * Producing design progress reports and supporting project reporting requirements.
