## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
 * 7 10+ years of hands-on software development experience using Java and J2EE technologies (currently utilizing Java 17; Java 11 experience is acceptable)
 * Strong experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks Solid understanding of distributed, multi-threaded, and high-performance systems
 * Experience designing, developing, and supporting RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures
 * Experience with AWS cloud technologies and CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins, is highly desirable
 * Experience building highly available systems supporting critical business workflows Experience with complex event processing (Esper Framework) is an added advantage.
 * Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to improve development productivity and code quality
 * Strong communication, analytical, design, problem-solving, and data modeling skills
 * Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies and automated testing

 * Ability to collaborate effectively across business and technology teams.

## Description

* Lead the technical design, development, deployment, and support of the Enterprise Limits & Restrictions (ELR) platform
 * Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure backend services supporting workflows that evaluate regulatory, client and firmwide restrictions
 * Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Leads, and Quality Engineering teams on estimation, planning, delivery, issue resolution, and risk management
 * Support tier-1 production systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvements in system stability, performance, and scalability
 * Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, mentoring, automated testing, observability, and modern development practices
 * Stay current with evolving industry and technical trends, including AI-assisted development tools, to ensure systems and team are of the highest caliber
 * Participate in the modernization and enhancement of compliance platforms, helping to drive innovation and operational efficiency across the investment technology ecosystem
