## About the Role

* Proven experience as a CTO, Head of Technology, Engineering Director or equivalent senior technical leader, ideally in a hands-on capacity.
 * Strong expertise across Microsoft Azure, cloud architecture and enterprise technology.
 * Hands-on knowledge of AI technologies and tools, including Claude.
 * Technical background in C#/.NET Core, REST APIs, API Management and microservices.
 * Experience with Elasticsearch, NoSQL databases, Azure Service Bus and Azure Functions.
 * Experience building and scaling large-scale data, analytics and eCommerce platforms.
 * Track record of leading technology transformation, Agile product development and engineering teams.
 * Strong commercial awareness, strategic thinking and stakeholder management, with the ability to translate business objectives into practical technology solutions.

## Description

We are seeking a hands-on CTO to lead technology strategy, architecture and engineering for a growing facilities management business. This is a senior leadership role combining technical delivery with strategic direction, driving AI adoption, modernising data and eCommerce platforms, and building scalable technology capabilities to support business growth., * Own and deliver the technology strategy, architecture and technical roadmap.

 * Provide hands-on technical leadership across AI, cloud, data and software engineering.
 * Drive the adoption of AI tools, including Claude, to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
 * Modernise and scale existing eCommerce, data and analytics platforms.
 * Lead engineering teams, embedding Agile practices and accelerating product delivery.
 * Ensure systems are secure, reliable, scalable and fit for future growth.
 * Drive innovation, continuous improvement and technology-led business transformation.
 * Lead, mentor and develop UK-based and offshore technical teams, working closely with business stakeholders and Product Owners.
