## About the Role

* Strong experience developing with WordPress
 * Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Expected Experience:

 * Familiarity with hosting platforms, staging environments, and deployment workflows

## Description

Our Development Department partners with strategy, design, and front-end teams to bring engaging, content-driven digital experiences to life. This role is focused on building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress-based websites that are performant, accessible, and easy to manage.

This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys CMS-driven development, custom theming, and working closely with designers and content teams.

Specific Responsibilities:

 * Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites
 * Build custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements
 * Implement designs with attention to responsiveness, accessibility, and performance
 * Integrate WordPress with third-party services, APIs, and marketing tools
 * Maintain and optimize WordPress databases and site performance
 * Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve site issues across environments
 * Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and project managers
 * Provide project updates and technical guidance to internal teams
 * Stay current with WordPress core updates, plugin ecosystems, and security best practices
