 * Experience making cost and capacity decisions for model training and deployment, including self-hosting and distillation strategies
 * Proven track record of influencing organizational practices, such as establishing baselines, review processes, and measurement standards

## Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist/Engineer to set the technical direction for our AI-powered intelligence layer. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and driving the strategy across our data graph, entity resolution, buying intent, and agent context systems. You will work as a hands-on individual contributor, owning complex problems related to large-scale data extraction, semantic intent analysis, and machine learning applications. Your expertise will influence how our models are built, evaluated, and adopted across teams, ensuring that our AI agents deliver accurate, reliable, and cost-effective insights. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of AI-driven business intelligence at ZoomInfo, collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring engineers, and influencing product decisions., * Define and execute the technical strategy for the data graph, entity resolution, buying intent, and agent context systems

 * Identify and prioritize complex problems for development, including extraction for companies with no public footprint and semantic intent at web scale
 * Establish evaluation standards and methodologies, including sampling, human labeling, and validated LLM judges, ensuring system robustness
 * Design data contracts between core components, maintaining system efficiency and cost-effectiveness across datasets
 * Set defaults and standards for models, including baselines, uncertainty reporting, and metric selection or retirement
 * Lead design reviews, mentor senior engineers, and shape hiring strategies within the team
 * Represent the team's technical judgment to product managers and leadership, influencing product development and strategy
 * Make informed decisions regarding model training, deployment, and resource allocation to optimize performance and cost
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI systems seamlessly into ZoomInfo's platform and workflows
