## About the Role

Apiary/Beekeeping, Internet Application, User Interface/Experience (UI/UX), Software Administration, Web Production, Database Design, PostgreSQL, Query Optimization, SQL (Structured Query Language), Node.js, * 5+ years building and maintaining production web applications, front end and back end

 * Expert relational SQL, ideally Postgres: schema design, migrations, query optimization, and reading execution plans
 * Node.js backend development, comfortable in a codebase with no framework
 * Browser JavaScript against the DOM directly, without React or a build toolchain
 * Demonstrated experience building integrations against third-party REST APIs - auth, pagination, rate limits, and handling upstream schema changes
 * ETL or data pipeline experience loading third-party data into a relational store, including identity matching across systems that disagree on identifiers
 * Able to work independently as the sole engineer on the service

Preferred

 * Python - the ingest services are Python
 * AWS: Aurora, Secrets Manager, ECR, EKS

Experience with reporting, billing or financial systems where output accuracy is audited

 * IT asset or SaaS license management domain knowledge (Okta, Oomnitza, Jira Assets)
 * LLM-based document extraction (parsing contracts and order forms into structured data)

Not required

 * Terraform or infrastructure engineering - separate repos
 * Kubernetes authoring - charts already exist
 * React, Vue or any frontend framework
 * Machine learning or model training
