You should know when a result is real and when it's noise Experience taking models from research to production, including the messy parts The judgement to know when a "good enough" solution beats a perfect one that never ships Clear communication skills. You'll need to explain technical trade-offs to people who don't live in the maths ## Description An exceptional opportunity for a senior Applied AI Researcher to shape the future of AI & Technology in London. Enterprise AI teams are past the experimentation phase. Budgets are bigger, deployments are real, and the pressure to ship models that actually hold up in production has never been higher. This is an established industry leader in the AI & Technology space, a large organisation (250+ employees) with the infrastructure and appetite to back serious research with serious resources. They need an Applied AI Researcher who can bridge the gap between academic rigour and shipped product. Here's what you'll be doing: Designing and running experiments to test new model architectures and training approaches against real business problems Translating research papers and emerging techniques into working prototypes within weeks, not quarters Partnering with engineering teams to move successful models from notebook to production infrastructure Evaluating model performance, bias and failure modes before anything reaches customers Presenting findings and recommendations to technical leadership and non-technical stakeholders alike
