This is a hands-on engineering role with real technical influence. You ll work across frontend and backend technologies, collaborating with product, UX, architecture, engineering and client stakeholders to turn user and business needs into secure, scalable, accessible and maintainable solutions. You ll help shape technical decisions while remaining close to the code and taking ownership throughout the software development lifecycle. You ll join multidisciplinary teams working on complex digital challenges, where you ll have the opportunity to lead technical delivery, solve difficult engineering problems, mentor other developers and help raise engineering standards. You ll: * Design, build, test, deploy and support production-grade applications across frontend and backend technologies. * Take ownership of complex features and services across the software development lifecycle, from technical discovery and design through to deployment and production support. * Work with Product Owners, UX Designers, Architects, Engineers and client stakeholders to turn user and business requirements into effective technical solutions. * Help shape application architecture, APIs, integration patterns, data flows and cloud solutions, making pragmatic technical decisions and explaining the trade-offs involved. * Build responsive, accessible and performant user experiences using modern frontend engineering approaches. * Develop backend services and APIs that are secure, scalable, resilient and maintainable. * Champion engineering quality through automated testing, code review, secure development, CI/CD, observability and effective production support. * Lead technical discussions and code reviews, helping teams make good engineering decisions and navigate complex technical problems. * Mentor and support other developers through pairing, coaching, knowledge sharing and constructive technical feedback. * Contribute reusable patterns, components and approaches that improve engineering quality and developer experience across the wider team. * Explore appropriate uses of AI-assisted engineering and automation to improve productivity and software quality, following relevant client and Capgemini policies and approvals.
