## About the Role

The successful candidate should be a good communicator who is proactive and able to constructively challenge ideas and concepts and have experience in:

 * Working as part of a multi-disciplinary design team
 * Defining systems interfaces, boundaries and other external factors that would impact on design
 * Requirements Engineering (elicitation, decomposition and analysis)
 * Analysing the operational concepts of a system

It would be beneficial if the candidate also has:

 * Experience of the decomposition of a systems design to sub-system level
 * Experience or knowledge of systems modelling techniques
 * Experience of analysing potential solutions against the key needs in a design brief
 * Experience of using design analysis techniques (trade-off analysis, calculations, modelling and simulation, etc.)

## Description

As a Senior Systems Engineer you will be able to work autonomously to contribute towards the systems engineering design activities throughout the engineering project involving:

 * Definition of Systems Requirements for the product
 * Creation of design documentation capturing the systems engineering design
 * Definition of the internal and external interfaces of the system
 * Functional definition of system behaviour
 * Development of test procedures to support the verification of the system
 * Carrying out integration and verification testing against test procedures
 * Conducting activities to gather evidence that the systems requirements have been achieved
 * Peer reviewing technical artefacts
 * Supporting the wider engineering team by sharing knowledge, This role will report to the Head of Discipline for Systems Engineering and the Engineering Delivery Manager for their project.
