## Description

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the deployment and configuration of all VMware and Physical Windows and Linux servers as well vendor supplied Virtual Appliances for the Humana Enterprise., The Senior Systems Engineer deploys and configures servers based on requirements provided by the application teams. This requires managing a project workload to ensure servers are delivered within their SLA. This role also requires testing new operating systems, hardware, and software before they are rolled out to production, and collaboration with other technical teams within IT to resolve issues. Proficiency with scripting and automation tools. Contributes to department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.
