The Senior Scrum Master work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Responsibilities The Scrum Master is an inclusive leader who has a primary responsibility to help the self-organizing, self-managing team achieve its goals. The Scrum Master facilitates the scrum process, protects the team from interference, and removes obstacles so that the team can deliver the sprint goal, all while coaching and leveling-up the team members to be as high performing as their structure allows. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Positively reinforces an agile mindset, practices, and skills to teams and individuals; provides clarity, new learnings, and fosters maturation Drives adoption of agile practices, techniques, and frameworks, reducing the gap between agile theory and practice. Develops, tracks and monitors agile metrics on things that impact value driven delivery and indicate potential problems, assisting teams in implementing solutions to those problems. Guiding and Coaching the Scrum Team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
