## About the Role

* 7+ years of professional software development experience working with enterprise solution delivery in a large-scale distributed environment
 * 7+ years of hands-on Java application development experience, including experience with modern Java ecosystem frameworks
 * 5+ years of Java, Springboot development experience
 * 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise cloud initiatives and solutions with cloud computing technologies
 * 5+ years of designing and developing modern microservices and cost-effective APIs
 * 3+ years of experience working on CI/CD Pipeline automation
 * 3+ years of experience working in an Agile-based development environment, * Agentic AI / Generative AI experience
 * Health and wellness domain experience
 * Hands on experience working as full stack development when needed AngularJS, JavaScript, Oracle and other modern databases like NOSQL
 * Strong understanding of Generative AI concepts and techniques, including but not limited to: Natural Language Processing (NLP), Text generation and summarization, Conversational AI and chatbots

CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Software Development Engineer - Java to lead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise-scale healthcare platforms. This role requires a strong technical leader who can drive architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and deliver highly available, secure, scalable and resilient applications that support millions of customers. This Staff Engineer will possess a deep expertise in Java-based distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, API development and modern software engineering practices. As a Staff Engineer and Technical Leader, you will partner closely with Product, Architecture, Security, Operations, and Engineering teams to build innovative solutions that improve healthcare experiences for our members, providers, and colleagues.

 * Leverage expertise to design and implement efficient and scalable solutions that meet business requirements and quality standards
 * Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions, collaborating with architects and senior engineers
