 * Strong professional Python backend engineering experience

 * Approximately three or more years of backend or full-stack software development experience; exceptional candidates with fewer years may still be considered

 * Experience building and supporting production software used by real customers

\n

 * Experience designing, developing and troubleshooting APIs

\n

 * Experience working with Kubernetes or within a Kubernetes-centric environment

\n

 * General cloud and container experience

\n

 * Experience building scalable, reliable and performant systems

\n

 * Ability to work across different backend services rather than one narrowly defined component

\n

 * Strong problem-solving skills, initiative and the ability to work without significant hand-holding

\n

 * High standards for software quality, resilience and maintainability

\n

 * Comfort working within a smaller, fast-moving engineering organization, * Experience within a SaaS, growth-stage or Series A-C technology company

 * Experience with distributed systems or microservices

\n

 * Experience using open-source technologies

\n

 * Familiarity with software deployed in both cloud and on-premises environments

 * TypeScript, JavaScript or limited frontend experience
