Required Qualifications **Education:** B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. **Experience:** 2--4 years developing automation solutions for high-mix SMT or electronics manufacturing. **Technical Skills:** - **Programming Languages:** Python, C/C++, Structured Text (IEC 61131-3), JavaScript/Node-RED; familiarity with RESTful APIs. - **Industrial Protocols:** OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, or similar. - **Tools & Platforms:** Siemens/Allen-Bradley PLCs, Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, Git, Docker (optional). - **Other:** Ability to read equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and understand mechanical motions of placement heads.

## Description

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining machine-level automation scripts for electronics manufacturing.
The position requires providing on-floor support for script debugging and collaborating with process engineers to enhance data capture for defect analysis.
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain machine-level automation scripts that translate CAD data into placement files and control line sequencing. - Build operator-friendly UI tools for tablets or HMI interfaces, allowing staff to adjust key parameters without extensive coding knowledge. - Create and maintain version-controlled repositories for all automation assets, enforcing code review and test standards. - Provide on-floor support for script debugging, alarm handling, and changeover requests during shift transitions. - Collaborate with Process Engineers to embed data-capture hooks for defect-analysis and statistical process control reporting.
