## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
 * PE License required
 * 8+ years of experience, including lead experience
 * Excellent knowledge of applicable systems design, such as fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as general understanding of system operations.
 * Ability to read complex mechanical and plumbing plans
 * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with all levels of employees, clients and general contractors
 * Strong public speaking/presentation skills
 * Excellent computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, including as Excel

## Description

Lead, evaluate, design, and engineer projects and systems to specification on projects ranging from new design/build to rehabilitation of existing facilities and systems. Provide ongoing technical guidance and engineering issue resolution as needed., * Provides conceptual design for specific projects

 * Serves as design professional at project team design meetings
 * Prepares complex preliminary redline design layouts for estimating
 * Performs more complex calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, hydraulic calculations, etc.
 * Performs site inspections to determine compliance with construction documents and resolves design issues during construction phase
 * Supervises less-experienced engineers in performing HVAC, fire protection or other system design and documents production of small and large projects.
