 * 2+ years of experience leading software engineering teams.
 * Strong background in backend software development.
 * Experience supporting enterprise-scale business applications.

 * Understanding of Kubernetes and container technologies.
 * Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code practices.

 * Strong communication and leadership skills.

 * Experience within insurance, financial services, or highly regulated industries.
 * Experience supporting policy, claims, billing, or underwriting systems.

## Description

As insurance organizations continue to invest heavily in digital transformation, this team is responsible for improving how engineering teams build, test, deploy, and support business-critical applications. The position will guide engineers across platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and developer productivity initiatives that support underwriting, policy administration, billing, claims, and customer-facing systems., What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities

 * Lead and mentor a team of platform and backend engineers.
 * Drive improvements to software delivery and engineering productivity.
 * Build scalable internal development platforms and automation capabilities.
 * Improve release management, deployment automation, and system reliability.
 * Partner with engineering and business teams to prioritize platform investments.
 * Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes and improve developer efficiency.
 * Establish standards around testing, observability, infrastructure, and deployment practices.
 * Evaluate emerging AI technologies that can improve engineering effectiveness.
