## About the Role

* Track record estimating and quoting custom automation equipment, with SolidWorks and AutoCAD skills.
 * Hands-on experience with PLCs, vision, servo/motion, robots and end-of-arm tooling, conveyors, pneumatics and machine guarding.
 * At least 5 years in industrial automation, ideally at a machine builder or custom integrator. A mechanical engineering degree is preferred.

Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction and without the need for current or future sponsorship.

## Description

* Put together accurate project estimates, proposals and quotes, and serve as the technical go-to alongside Sales during customer meetings and site visits.
 * Design automation concepts like robotic cells, assembly, inspection, material handling and special machines, based on customer RFQs, specs and part drawings.
 * Validate concepts through 2D/3D layouts, robot simulations, cycle time and reach studies, and proof-of-concept testing.
