## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, cyber security or related science degree or 3 years equivalent experience.
 * Experience conducting STIG checks to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, utilizing industry best practices and tools to update systems and mitigate security risks
 * Security+ Certification
 * Candidates should be willing and able to travel up to 25% to customer sites both CONUS and OCONUS

Bonus Points If You Have:

 * CISSP or CISA Certifications
 * Linux+ or RHSA Certifications
 * Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience with knowledge of SELinux (MAC and DAC security mechanisms)
 * Previous networking experience

Eligibility Requirements:

 * US Citizenship required, dual citizens not eligible
 * An active Secret clearance is required for this role with ability to obtain TS/SCI

## Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer, who will play a critical role in safeguarding systems, networks, and data by performing comprehensive vulnerability management and security assessments. This role will be on-site in San Diego, CA and requires an active secret clearance., * Perform comprehensive vulnerability management and security assessments to safeguard systems, networks, and data.

 * Identify and mitigate risks across software, hardware, and networking components.
 * Conduct system security testing during lab-based and site-based assessments.
 * Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize remediation efforts and ensure compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
 * Maintain and update RMF documentation, including Security Controls artifacts, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
