## About the Role

* U.S. Citizenship required
 * Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Science, or a related field
 * CompTIA Security+ certification
 * Demonstrated ability to work in a detailed technical environment
 * Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, network topology, and network security
 * Understanding of Windows and/or UNIX operating systems
 * Strong written and verbal communication skills
 * Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Desired Skills & Experience

 * Experience with packet analysis tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump
 * Familiarity with SIEM platforms including Splunk, syslog, and NetFlow analysis
 * Experience working with endpoint security technologies such as Carbon Black, Symantec, McAfee, Forcepoint, or Tanium
 * Additional cybersecurity certifications including CySA+, CEH, GSEC, GCIH, GIAC, AWS, Azure, or Cybersecurity Bootcamp certifications
 * Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving capabilities
 * Passion for cybersecurity and continuous learning

## Description

The SOC Monitoring Analyst will leverage security tools and established processes to identify potential threats, analyze alerts, and support incident response activities. The position offers exposure to a broad range of cybersecurity technologies while working alongside experienced security professionals in a collaborative team environment., * Monitor and investigate security alerts from IDS/IPS, firewalls, proxies, servers, endpoints, and network devices

 * Analyze security events within a SIEM environment and determine appropriate response actions
 * Escalate incidents in accordance with established incident response procedures
 * Review logs and security data to identify suspicious activity and emerging threats
 * Collaborate with cybersecurity and IT teams to support enterprise security initiatives
 * Document investigations, findings, and response activities
 * Assist with ongoing improvements to security operations processes and procedures
