## About the Role

* Strong commercial experience with Java (Java 11+).
 * Experience developing Spring Boot applications.
 * Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
 * Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
 * Knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, and automated testing frameworks.
 * Experience working with Git and version control best practices.
 * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
 * Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
 * Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

 * Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
 * Docker and Kubernetes experience.
 * Government or public sector project experience.
 * Exposure to event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar technologies.
 * Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.

Security Requirements

Candidates must either:

 * Hold active SC Clearance, or
 * Be eligible and willing to undergo SC Clearance.

## Description

* Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications and microservices.
 * Build secure, resilient, and high-performing solutions using modern development practices.
 * Collaborate with Architects, Business Analysts, DevOps Engineers, and QA teams.
 * Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
 * Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services.
 * Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
 * Support CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
 * Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across the software life cycle.
 * Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and best practice improvements.
