## Description

As a Senior Systems Engineer supporting the Department of Energy (DOE), you will act as a trusted technical advisor to national laboratories, research institutions, and federal integrators-guiding customers through architecture design, evaluation, and deployment of VAST's data platform for mission-critical workloads.

You will work closely with Federal Account Executives, system integrators, and channel partners to drive adoption across HPC, AI/ML, scientific computing, energy research, and classified/unclassified environments.

The Role

 * Support business development across DOE accounts, including national labs and affiliated research institutions.
 * Work closely with Federal sales teams and channel partners to sell the VAST Data platform.
 * Align technical sales activity with federal procurement and buying cycles.
 * Manage customer relationships from initial engagement through (optional) proof of concept and post-sale expansion.
 * Develop and deliver technical proposals and architectures aligned to DOE mission workloads.
 * Prospect, penetrate, and support large, complex federal accounts.
