## About the Role

* 4+ years of hands-on experience in network administration, support, or engineering roles
 * An active Secret with background investigation within 6 years
 * Must possess or be able to obtain within 6 months of start date a valid IAT Level II or III DoD Approved 8140 (DoD 8570) certification such as Security+
 * Understanding of Windows, Linux, and virtual environments
 * Demonstrated experience effectively performing in a fast paced, dynamic environment
 * Knowledge of DoD RMF or other protection level caveats for device hardening
 * Experience developing effective stakeholder and partner relationships
 * Ability to work through technical, project, operational, and resource challenges.
 * Proven business acumen to manage multiple assignments and projects with the ability to balance technical requirements with business needs and affordability
 * Demonstrated collaboration, including interpersonal and teaming skills
 * Experience configuring and troubleshooting L2/L3 devices
 * understanding and minimal workings with firewall technologies
 * Eperienced with diagraming tools like Visio, Draw.io, etc

Desired Skills

 * At least five years experience working in enterprise type environments
 * Relevant vendor certifications (CCNA, JNCIP, or LM-recognized equivalents)
 * Prefer Security+, CISSP, or other IAT Level II/III security certification
 * Experience hardening network infrastructure by applying STIGs
 * Experience building and/or working with virtual networks within Type-1 Hypervisors
 * Scripting ability to support automation (i.e. Ansible, Python, BASH, Perl, Batch, VBScript, PowerShell, etc.)
 * Technical documentation creation and management; including documenting existing environments
 * Deep understanding of routing/switching networking concepts
 * Familiarity with network automation platforms (Git, CI/CD pipelines for infra, Jinja2/Terraform basics)
