## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or a combination of education and experience, preferably with focus on Industrial Ethernet & Networking
\n

 * 2-5 years of experience in industrial networking, industrial automation, controls, technical support, and/or technical training. A CCNA or CompTIA Networking+ certification is a plus.
\n

 * Strong understanding of industrial networking, managed switch technologies, and communication protocols.
\n

 * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
\n, * Experience with HMS-type products or comparable connectivity solutions (gateways, embedded modules, remote monitoring/IIoT platforms).
\n

 * Skills to support PROFIBUS & PROFINET Training and system diagnostics,
\n

 * Skills to support Ethernet/IP, Industrial Ethernet Training, and networking diagnostics
\n

 * Demonstrated knowledge of OT/IT convergence, IIoT architectures, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, managed switches and routers, remote connectivity and cybersecurity, industrial wireless technologies (Wi-Fi and 5G), and industrial communication networks, with strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.

 * Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-moving technology environment.

## Description

As an Application Engineer, you will be the technical interface between HMS's product portfolio and our customers; machine builders, device manufacturers, system integrators, and end-users. You will understand customer applications and requirements, define how HMS solutions fit into those needs, and support pre-sales, design-win, application development, commissioning, and post-deployment optimization. You will work closely with Sales to promote, organize, and deliver various certified training programs on-site with customers and help support marketing campaigns to drive the growth of the paid training programs.
