## About the Role

Test Automation, Automation Engineering, Financial Services, Brokerage, Securities, Global Financial Markets, Foreign Exchange (FX), Affiliate Marketing, Hedge Funds, Automation, * Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related quantitative field

 * 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong coding skills (Python required)
 * Strong experience with unit testing frameworks (pytest, unittest, etc.)
 * Strong communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
 * Experience with version control systems (git)

What will be your responsibilities within IBKR:

As a Software Development Engineer in Test and help protect market integrity at massive scale. Youll build and maintain the automated testing infrastructure that ensures reliability across systems processing 1+ billion order events daily-work that directly impacts the fairness and security of financial markets.

 * Build scalable testing frameworks that enable our team to deploy confidently and maintain high system reliability
 * Design comprehensive test suites covering unit, integration, and acceptance testing that catch issues before they reach production
 * Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to embed quality practices throughout the development lifecycle
 * Provide metrics and reporting on test coverage, quality trends, and system reliability
 * Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for test infrastructure
 * Develop data quality checks to ensure integrity across pipelines and databases
 * Investigate and triage test failures, working with development teams to identify root causes and implement fixes
