## About the Role

Computer Firmware, Server Programming/Applications, Computer Firmware, Leading Edge Technology, Microsoft Infrastructure, Microsoft Windows Azure, Product Development, Security Design, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Firmware Engineer with a background in security. You must have proficient C programing skills, with experience writing low level drivers, root causing issues at the intersection of multiple subsystems across firmware and hardware., * Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience

 * OR Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience
 * OR Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience
 * OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

 * Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter., * The successful candidate should have experience with some or all the following: driver development, Linux driver initialization, peripherals such as PCIe, memory interfaces. OS primitives, memory management, scheduling, interrupts, threading.
 * Experience with Penetration testing also a plus
 * 8+ years of professional experience designing and developing software solutions.
 * Excellent C/C++, RUST programming skills
 * Experienced with security and Embedded Software/Firmware development.
 * Knowledge in Encryption ciphers and security protocols
 * Proficient debugging capabilities and demonstrated experience to resolve issues spanning multiple subsystems.
 * Experience with Platform initialization, Board support package porting, low level drivers for peripherals such as PCIe, I2C, eMMC, SPI, USB, UARTs as well as Memory Management, Scheduling, Interrupts and multi-threading
 * The candidate should have proficient defensive coding skills, debugging and troubleshooting abilities.
