## About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AI-Native Staff Engineer to build high-quality, production-ready software using AI-assisted engineering workflows. This role is suited for a senior individual contributor who can guide a small engineering team while leveraging AI coding tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent technologies to accelerate software development.

The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering fundamentals, experience building backend services and full-stack applications, and the ability to review, validate, and refine AI-generated code for security, performance, correctness, and maintainability.

This role focuses on AI-assisted software engineering, not AI model training or machine learning pipeline development., 1. Strong software engineering experience building and maintaining production-grade applications.

 2. Hands-on experience with AI-native development tools, such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent AI coding assistants.
 3. Strong Java development skills and experience implementing backend services and APIs.
 4. Experience with database design, SQL, and relational databases, particularly Oracle and PostgreSQL.
 5. Ability to review, debug, test, refactor, and productionize AI-generated code.
 6. Experience with application design, software architecture, integration patterns, and engineering best practices.
 7. Strong understanding of software quality, security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
 8. Ability to work as a senior individual contributor while providing technical guidance to a small engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Experience with full-stack software development, including frontend components, backend services, APIs, and automated tests.
 * Experience incorporating AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
 * Familiarity with automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and modern development practices.
 * Strong collaboration, technical communication, and problem-solving skills.

## Description

* Build, enhance, and maintain production-grade software using AI-native development workflows.
 * Leverage Claude, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent AI tools for code generation, debugging, refactoring, testing, and documentation.
 * Review and validate AI-generated code to ensure quality, security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
 * Design and implement APIs, backend services, frontend components, workflows, and full-stack application features.
 * Develop and maintain database schemas, queries, and integrations using Oracle and PostgreSQL.
 * Translate product and technical requirements into reliable, maintainable software solutions.
 * Apply sound engineering judgment to balance development speed with software quality and long-term maintainability.
 * Collaborate with AI-Native Tech Architects on architecture, engineering standards, and best practices.
 * Guide and support a small engineering team, participate in design reviews, and contribute to technical decisions.
 * Improve AI-assisted development workflows, testing practices, and engineering standards.
 * Coordinate with product stakeholders and adjacent engineering teams to manage integrations, dependencies, and shared services.
