## About the Role

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, or related field.
 * A minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience in software development particularly utilizing object-oriented programming methodologies.
 * Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

 * Strong C++ skills.
 * Experience with high performance and multi-threaded programming.
 * Demonstrates depth of knowledge in programming languages, compilers, and application execution.
 * Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn outside of core discipline.
 * Experience with hands-on software development and troubleshooting on Embedded targets utilizing an RTOS (Real-Time Operating System).
 * Working knowledge of signal processing, control systems theory, or networking fundamentals.
 * Familiarity with key protocols such as IP, UDP, TCP, IPSec, DDS, or SNMP.
 * Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
 * Solid presentation and writing skills.
 * Previous professional experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD) or intelligence community.

 * Work closely with cross-functional team members to develop operational performance requirements, interface software and hardware components, and collaborate on system design.
 * Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and formal testing.
 * Contribute to software test plans, procedures, and other relevant technical documentation.
 * Demonstrates depth of knowledge in programming languages, compilers, and application execution.
 * Participate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defects.
